Alleghany Rifle Association Match Rules
SAFETY IS #1--NO BOLTS IN RIFLES UNTIL INSTRUCTED BY RANGEMASTER
If unable to remove bolt, a chamber indicator must be used. All bolts must be removed or chamber indicator used when relay is finished.
CEASE FIRE-- Anyone can call cease fire if they observe anyone downrange when the line is hot. Do not touch your rifle until instructed to by the Rangemaster. Remain seated until all clear is given by Rangemaster.
RELAY FINISH-- All shooters must remain seated until Rangemaster calls "All Clear". No one on concrete during a match. Exceptions can be made by Rangemaster for new shooters, juniors and handicapped shooters.
TARGETS--No targets may be removed from post area until 10 minute protest period is over unless approved by Rangemaster. No one in scoring area while targets are being scored.
PROTEST OF TARGETS-- Protest costs $2.00. Three referees and one alternate will be chosen by Rangemaster before match begins. Protests must be made during the 10 minute protest period called by Rangemaster.
EQUIPMENT--All equipment must be removed from the bench when relay is over unless shooting two consecutive relays or sharing equipment on same bench. All rifles must be weighed after relay when Rangemaster calls for them to be weighed. Any over-weight rifles will be disqualified. Weigh rifles FIRST then remove equipment from bench. Unlimited rifles DO NOT have to be weighed.
CROSS-FIRE or EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTION--If cross-fired upon or you have equipment malfunction, notify Rangemaster IMMEDIATELY, but DO NOT call cease-fire. All cross-fires and equipment issues revert to Ultimate Benchrest Regulations.
